NFPA 1500 Action Plan

We accomplish the safety, survival, health, and wellness of our members by making their wellbeing the number one priority in everything we do. We make sure that “ everyone goes home…” is at the forefront of our activities. Attached is the Hutto Fire Rescue implementation action plan for NFPA 1500, Standard on Fire Department Occupational Safety, Health, and Wellness Programs (2021 edition). This plan provides a detailed framework for improving and maintaining the level of firefighter safety within our organization. The achievement of these objectives will prevent and reduce the severity of occupational accidents, injuries, diseases, and exposures, and in turn reduce the dollars that are spent as a result of these occurrences.
