Fire Chief’s Welcome Letter

Since the inception of the Hutto Volunteer Fire Department in 1896, citizens of Hutto have received a wide range of emergency and non-emergency services from the dedicated men and women protecting the Hutto community.

And now over 120 years later the fire department protecting the citizens of Hutto is still doing the same thing. Hutto Fire Rescue/Williamson County Emergency Services District #3 provides services that range from fire suppression, hazardous materials mitigation, natural disaster response, emergency medical treatment, rescue, public fire education, fire inspections, fire investigation, and many other services which go unnoticed by the general public. Hutto Fire Rescue/Williamson County Emergency Services District #3 also currently develops, supports, and offers many educational based programs which can be requested by you!

Since our inception as an Emergency Services District in 2000, we have been committed to provide you with a well trained and equipped group of firefighters to aid in your protection and well-being. Hutto Fire Rescue/Williamson County Emergency Services District #3 is proud to operate as a SMART (Simple, Moral, Accountable, Responsive, Transparent) government that accomplishes all our services by using a minimum of your tax dollars.

Currently Hutto Fire Rescue/Williamson County Emergency Services District #3, “Your All-Hazards Hometown Fire Department”, serves a population of approximately 60,000 people. We protect an area of 63 square miles from 3 fire station located within our community. Paid firefighter’s who provide 24 hours a day protection.

Hutto Fire Rescue/Williamson County Emergency Services District #3 emergency response fleet includes fire engines, ladder, water tankers, brush trucks, and support vehicles. These emergency response vehicles help us serve each of you during your time of need.

All personnel train constantly with the latest technology and emergency response operations. This training involves both classroom sessions and hands-on experience.

Our firefighters are the best in the country and are extremely proud of their Fire Department. This is clearly reflected in Hutto Fire Rescue/Williamson County Emergency Services District #3 “PHILOSOPHY STATEMENT” and the Hutto Fire Rescue/Williamson County Emergency Services District #3 “SERVICE GUARANTEE”. We consider your family our family, and our firehouse your firehouse. Whether you are a resident, business owner, or a visitor, our goal is to take care of you as if you were a member of our family, because you are!
